The legendary Lone Star Showdown is making its highly-anticipated return after a 12 year hiatus. Texas Athletics and Texas A&M Athletics’ renowned rivalry will be officially restored in the 2024 season across all sports with an exciting announcement to be made on Thursday, August 22.

Soccer
Texas A&M soccer will play two matches this week after its 5-0 opener at Lamar:

• Wednesday, August 21 — Texas A&M vs. Denver — 7 p.m. at Ellis Field
• Saturday, August 24 — Texas A&M vs. Fairfield — 8 p.m. at Ellis Field (Fish Camp Night)

Volleyball
Saturday offered a first look at Jamie Morrison’s club as they held a Maroon & White scrimmage at Reed Arena. 

Players were mixed and matched during six first-to-15 sets. The Maroon side took all six frames in the exhibition (15-9, 15-10, 15-12, 15-11, 15-12, 15-12).

Men’s Basketball
Tickets for the Texas A&M men’s basketball team’s matchup with Texas Tech at the 2024 US LBM Coast to Coast Challenge went on sale via Ticketmaster.com on Friday.

Cross Country
The Texas A&M cross country team released its 2024 schedule, complete with four home meets, including two postseason competitions.

The Aggies open their 2024 campaign at the Cowboy Preview at the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Aug. 30.
