Lone Star Lookback: Rocky Bernard's 'special day' vs. Texas in 1999
Welcome to Lone Star Lookback! Each week, a former player or coach will join David Nuño to reminisce on Texas A&M's historic rivalry with the Texas Longhorns as the game makes an emphatic return on Nov. 30 at Kyle Field.
On Episode 3 of Lone Star Lookback, former Texas A&M defensive tackle Rocky Bernard joins us to discuss some of the late-90s and early-2000s showdowns between the Aggies and Longhorns. During his time in Aggieland, Bernard earned All-Big 12 acclaim and helped the Ags beat their archrivals twice before being a fifth-round selection in the 2002 NFL Draft. After seven seasons with Seattle, he spent four more with the New York Football Giants, where he earned a championship ring by defeating the previously undefeated New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.
