Welcome to Lone Star Lookback! Each week, a former player or coach will join David Nuño to reminisce on Texas A&M's historic rivalry with the Texas Longhorns as the game makes an emphatic return on Nov. 30 at Kyle Field.
On Episode 6 of the Lone Star Lookback series, former Texas A&M quarterback Randy McCown sat down to look back on his five years in Aggieland, which included a pair of starts for the Maroon & White against the hated Longhorns. In 1999, he helped engineer one of the most memorable moments in school history when A&M upset Texas at Kyle Field just eight days after the Bonfire collapse. Following his time in College Station, McCown played the 2000 season with the Houston Marshals of the Spring Football League in addition to a 2001 stint with the Arena Football League’s Houston ThunderBears.
