Press Conference: Elko, Aggies react to heartbreaking loss to Auburn

We are overdue to play well. Hopefully this happens Saturday.

This was a very frustrating loss. BTHO Texas to make our first ever SEC Championship Game appearance before Texas does.

We aren't winning that game. Auburn has only dropped 40 two other times before playing us....ULM and New Mexico. The D is giving up 50 points next week.

Blah blah blah. 8-3 with this years schedule is UNACCEPTABLE. Same OL uninspired preparation. This game was lost by the defense in the 1st quarter. Play calling was absolute garbage. DJ Durkin is laughing this morning.
Calling timeout with 16sec left? WTF? You suck, Elko.

These guys don't give a ***** Win or lose, they still get paid their NIL money. There is no heart or desire to be the best anymore. They get their scholarship, they get their money and they go through the motions, trying not to get hurt.

Yall are the best. Just admit it- in a frustrating loss there is no response at the presser that will make you feel better. Over the last 30 years we've had every type of post game presser. We only like the ones after we win.

You want him to blame his subordinate staff? That's a pretty ****ty thing for a leader to do.

You want him to blame the players? That's a REALLY ****ty thing to do and would tank the reputation of his program.

You want him to just praise Auburn? That would look like he's not taking any responsibility.

He said the only thing he can, and that any coach can: It's on him to do better.

Yea Albert, you simply got outplayed by a team with less talent. No excuse for the loss to lowly Auburn.

If one or two plays had gone our way last night, you would be *****ing about something else this Sunday morning, sir.

Elko is coaching way too conservative and it's now cost us twice with ND and Auburn. We got wrecked at South Carolina and no amount of aggressive coaching was winning that one, so I don't count it.

I just don't understand why we go away from pressure, it's infuriating. Then to couple with it, we go conservative on offense too.

With our speed, why would we run that option/pitch play to the short side of the field? Give the fast guys as much room to run as possible for cryin' out loud!

This loss was not heartbreaking it was disgusting.
