Texas A&M adds former NC State WR Kevin Concepcion via transfer portal
Mike Elko and the Aggies continue to address needs via the transfer portal, and today, they received good news from one of the top offensive weapons and one of their top priority targets.
Former NC State wide receiver Kevin Concepcion has announced his intentions to Texas A&M.
Checking in at 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, Concepcion’s all-around ability, combined with 1,299 yards and 16 touchdowns on 124 receptions in his two seasons on the field at NC State, made him a highly coveted target out of the transfer portal.
Concepcion had a breakout year as a freshman in 2023, posting 839 yards and 10 touchdowns, and he had 41 carries for another 320 yards on his way to ACC Rookie of the Year honors. He followed up the effort with 53 receptions for 460 yards and six touchdowns in 2024. He also added 19 carries for 36 yards and two more scores.
He signed with NC State as a member of the 2023 recruiting class. As a three-star recruit out of Charlotte (NC) Chambers, Concepcion opted for NC State over the likes of North Carolina, Boston College, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Maryland, Memphis, Mississippi State, Penn State and Vanderbilt.
