On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Live, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as 2024 comes to a close. Football fell to USC in the Vegas Bowl, women's basketball begins its conference slate and more.

Football
USC stormed back in the second half to take down the Aggies in the 2024 Las Vegas Bowl, 35-31. In year one under Mike Elko, A&M finished 8-5.

Men’s Basketball
No. 13 Texas A&M put a bow on its non-conference slate with a 38-point win over Abilene Christian on Saturday. Wade Taylor IV returned to action and recorded his first-ever double-double with 15 points and 10 assists.

Taylor moved past Vernon Smith and into second on A&M's all-time scoring list. At 1,779 points, the senior is just 211 points behind Bernard King for the program record.

Now, the Aggies will face arch-rival Texas on the hardwood. The last time these two programs faced off was December 8, 2019, when Texas won 60-50, and the Longhorns have won six of the last seven.

Women’s Basketball
Joni Taylor’s Aggies will begin Southeastern Conference after the New Year play on Jan. 2 against No. 18 Tennessee (9-0).

They finished the non-conference season at 7-5, sitting at No. 14 in the conference.
