Scourton, Stewart & Turner earn invites to 2025 NFL Scouting Combine

Texas A&M’s has had 321 selected in the NFL Draft with 42 of those selections having been defensive linemen. This year, the Aggies look to add several players to that list.

On Thursday, it was announced that Texas A&M defensive linemen Shemar Stewart, Nic Scourton, and Shemar Turner were invited to participate in the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.

Once again held in Indianapolis, the Combine runs from Feb. 27 to March 2, and defensive linemen will be testing on the first day along with linebackers.

Defensive end Nic Scourton, 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds, garnered 37 total tackles, 14 TFL, five sacks, 1 forced fumble and All-SEC First Team honors in his lone season as an Aggie. He is projected by many to be drafted as high as the first round.

Defensive end Shemar Shewart, 6-foot-6 and 290 pounds, accumulated 65 total tackles in three seasons as an Aggie, including 11 TFL, 4.5 sacks and four forced fumbles. He garnered All-SEC Second Team honors in the 2023 season. The NFL Scouting Combine will be very important in raising his draft stock.

Defensive lineman Shemar Turner, 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, spent four seasons at Texas A&M and accumulated 115 total tackles, 22.5 TFL, 10 sacks, three forced fumbles and All-SEC Third Team honors for his effort in the 2024 season. He is also projected by many to be drafted as high as the first round.

A&M is one of nine schools (Georgia, Michigan, Ole Miss, Texas, Ohio State, Oregon, Tennessee and South Carolina) to have three or more defensive linemen invited to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.

Aggieland continues to be a factory of front-seven players. If all three of these players get drafted, that would make 10 front-seven Aggies to be drafted in the last six NFL Drafts.
