Texas A&M third baseman Gavin Grahovac to miss remainder of 2025

Texas A&M third baseman Gavin Grahovac will miss the remainder of the 2025 season due to injury. It was reported by TexAgs’ Ryan Brauninger that Grahovac will have surgery on his left shoulder to correct an injury Michael Earley described last week as “shoulder tightness.”

Grahovac’s recovery is expected to take at least six months. This surgery is unrelated to the one he had during the offseason to correct a wrist injury.

Through six games in 2025, Grahovac hit .227 (5-for-22) with one double, two home runs and six RBIs.

Last year’s SEC Freshman of the Year, the 6-foot-2, 220-pound standout from Orange, Calif., entered his sophomore season as a preseason first-team All-SEC selection and had a spot on the 2025 Golden Spikes Award Preseason Watch List.

A season ago, Grahovac slashed .298/.390/.596 with a Texas A&M freshman record of 23 home runs and 66 RBIs. He earned Freshman All-SEC honors and numerous Freshman All-American accolades.

News of his injury serves as a big blow to No. 1 A&M.

More to come shortly.

Sucks for all involved.

Certainly Gavin wants to be on the field. Hopefully he will be back to 100% in six months.

Our highest paid NIL guy in football lost his job and now one of our highest NIL baseball guys is going to not impact this season. The baseball NIL funds were off the charts this year and I'm guessing not seeing a return will make it harder to get that checkbook out next year for some donors.

I know this must be really hard on Gavin. Prayers for a successful surgery and full recovery.

So, just like pro sports. Who would have thought it?

Feel bad for him. I was expecting big things out of him this year. Pray the surgery goes well and he's back to mashing the ball next season!!!

Sophomore slump is a pretty common thing. The injury part, not so much. Hope he comes back.

Best wishes on a successful surgery and speedy recovery. This one hurts, and I'm sure he is disappointed, as are we. But, we will persevere. His teammates will rally around him in his recovery. Hang tough Gavin and looking forward to seeing you on the diamond in 26.

That sucks for Gavin, although it may solve the TK problem when Sorrel comes back.

Donors donate, why should this stop their giving? Did they expect a return like an investor? Only fools believe the falsehood that college athletics is a business.
