On Friday’s edition of TexAgs Live, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as the spring sports are underway. Men's basketball and women's basketball wrap up their SEC slate as baseball and softball season is underway.


Basketball
Buzz Williams' No. 12 Aggies have dropped their third-straight contest for the first time this season.

Up next, No. 3 Florida will host A&M on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Women’s Basketball
Texas A&M lost their ninth straight game and continues to sink to the bottom of the SEC standings, dropping a contest to Vanderbilt, 91-58. 

A&M will have one final chance to end their slump, facing Arkansas on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Baseball
No. 1 Texas A&M heads to Houston for the Astros Foundation College Classic. A&M will face Arizona on Friday at 7 p.m. CT, Oklahoma State on Saturday at 7 p.m. and Rice on Sunday at 6 p.m.

Softball
On day one of the Texas A&M Invitational, the No. 5 Aggies took both games of the Thursday doubleheader. The Maroon & White dominated Texas State in a 9-1 run-rule then Sidne Peters tossed a complete game shutout vs. Princeton.

Next up for the Aggies will be a Friday matchup against George Washington at Davis Diamond. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. CT.

Women’s Tennis
A&M continues SEC play against Arkansas on Friday at 5 p.m. and No. 12 Oklahoma on Sunday.

Men’s Tennis
The Aggies travel to Fayetteville, Ark. to face the Razorbacks on Friday and then head to Norman to face Oklahoma.

Men’s Golf
Texas A&M will head to Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas on March 2.

Women’s Golf
Freshman Vanessa Borovilos (Bora-vilas) took home her first individual title with a 15-under 201 and claimed SEC Golfer of the Week and propelled the Aggies to a runner-up finish at the Golf Club of Houston Tuesday.

The Aggies return to the course at the Clover Cup March 10-12 in Litchfield Park, Arizona.

Track & Field
Texas A&M got off to a great start on day one of SEC Championships in Aggieland. The men's distance medley relay team's title highlighted the Aggies' four-medal haul on the opening day

Jack Mann III placed silver in the pole vault. Sofia Yakushina won silver in the pentathlon. Khybah Dawson won the final medal of the day in the men's long jump and claimed bronze.

After day one, the men sit in first while the women sit in fourth. 

Equestrian
The No. 5 Texas A&M equestrian team fell on the road to No. 2 TCU, 11-9, on Thursday.

The Aggies return home to the Hildebrand Equine Complex on Saturday, March 8 at noon for Senior Day against No. 1 Auburn.

Swimming and Diving
The Aggies are in action, hosting the Last Chance Meet Feb. 27 through March 1.
