SEC Network's Pat Bradley shares what he expects to see from the Ags
It's a Mile High City matchup between Texas A&M and Yale in the Big Dance. SEC Network analyst Pat Bradley joined Thursday's edition of TexAgs Live to give his perspective on Buzz Williams & Co. as the Aggies begin their NCAA Tournament journey in Denver.
Key notes from Pat Bradley interview
- You would always like to reset when you start the postseason. The SEC Tournament was a heck of a battle, but we know what Texas A&M is. We know how they play and what they are going to do. That's how they win games. They don't have to play great because they are so good at defense and offensive rebounding.
- Maybe part of it is last year's game against Auburn. The non-power teams tend to be older teams, and those teams tend to make better decisions. They take care of the basketball. They take good shots, and they don't beat themselves. That's what you get when you play that sort of team. You figure the Ivy Leaguers are going to be smart guys. They don’t want to make it a track meet, but those are the challenges.
- I hope fans can take a look at the overall season and what Buzz Williams has done. It is crazy that fans get excited about a two-week span when you've been watching the team for three whole months. A&M has had an excellent season. Think about the excitement with wins at Ohio State and Creighton. I hope fans look at it this way.
- I thought Texas was going to keep their hot streak. I was hoping that they were going to be able to keep that going. We focus on the SEC so much that we tend to forget the other teams around the country.
- Going back to what Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl said after the loss in the SEC Tournament. He wants the offense to be more diverse and become more dangerous. I think they are fine. We've all seen the depth of talent, so I think they'll be fine.
- Georgia winning wouldn't be a surprise to me. They've been really good all season long and have a really good backcourt with Silas Demary Jr. To me, they have good enough size and one of the best freshmen in the country. I think they are flying under the radar.
- You can watch the tournament on your phone, TV, laptop or iPad. Just try to take in as much as you can.
