NC State transfer guard Marcus Hill commits to Texas A&M basketball
Former NC State guard Marcus Hill has announced his commitment to Texas A&M.
At 6-foot-4 and 185 pounds, Hill averaged 11.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists as a senior for the Wolfpack. He shot 45.3 percent from the field, 20.5 percent from 3-point range and 75.3 percent at the free-throw line.
Hill started his career at the junior college level before transferring to Bowling Green, where he averaged 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game for the Falcons. While in the MAC, he earned First-Team All-MAC honors in 2023-24 while leading the league in scoring.
He joins Bucky McMillan at Texas A&M with elite scoring ability driving downhill.
He’s not the typical high-volume, high-percentage 3-point shooter you would expect in this system, but he’s a pure scorer inside the arc.
Hill is Texas A&M’s sixth addition via the transfer portal.
With just two years of experience at the Division I level, Hill will have two more years of eligibility remaining.
