Key notes from Jamie Morrison interview

• It was amazing. I think I said the last time when I was on the air, I don’t remember what playing at home feels like. We were at Rudy’s, and I was like, “Oh, people like us.” It was a really cool experience. We’ve added the student section to the TV side. So it added energy to the bench. It was a fun atmosphere.
   
• We’re 8-2 and sitting in a good spot for the postseason. The two matches... We laid an egg on one of them. I wasn’t happy with it. We addressed the things that we needed to upgrade. It wasn’t rocket science. We didn’t play the game like we were supposed to play. The response for the next was a three-set, 3-0.
   
• I said it on the air with you that if we come out undefeated that it would be impressive. I don’t like the way that’s a record that I want to leave. I want to win. I don’t like losses. I don’t like the way that we lost to SMU. I’ll take the TCU match.
   
• You’re always going to learn from heartbreak. I will say that the coaches are undefeated. I think there are things that you’ll learn from both sides.
   
• Missouri is a good volleyball team. If you look at what the SEC is today as one of the best volleyball conferences in the country, it’s because of what was here and what has been built.
   
• Liberos need to be a rock. They’re really good at what they do. You dont notice how good they are. They're supposed to be consistent. The best lieros are the ones that are consistently good, not that ones that make it look spectacular. It’s an undervalued position on the court. It’s like a DB in football where they don’t throw in that direction.
   
• Vanderbilt, it’s the first time they’ve had a volleyball program in 42 years. Imagine taking over a program with zero players. They had some transfers come in. I think Anders Nelson is doing a great job. That will be a battle. They took top-25 Kansas to five sets.
   
• Anybody who was at Fish Camp, wear your Fish Camp shirt, and it's free on Wednesday. On Friday, anybody who has a football ticket, come on in. It’s free admission. We have created a cool, fun atmosphere to be apart of.
   
• I have been through this with Margot Manning. She will redshirt this year. I don't think that she can handle it better. Just control what she can control. She will have to have surgery. I am fired up with the way she is handling it.
   
• I don’t think that I can speak enough about the freshmen. They have soaked up things like a sponge. That's the next generation. That's what has to carry this thing on.
