Baseball
No. 24 Texas A&M baseball opened the season on a heater, sweeping Tennessee Tech after they dropped 15 runs on them Opening Day, followed it up with 23 on Saturday, and finished the weekend with a 7–1 win Sunday. Caden Sorrell launched two 420-plus foot bombs Friday and finished the weekend with four hits in Sunday’s finale, and was named SEC Player of the Week.

Softball
No. 13 Aggie softball started the Clearwater Invitational off by falling to No. 23 Oklahoma State, 9-8, and No. 19 Duke, 8-6, on Friday. They got that out of their system and turned the rest of the weekend around when they defeated NC State 10-2 on Saturday. On Sunday, the Ags run-ruled James Madison, 11-0, in five innings and overcame a five-run deficit to take down Northwestern, 6-5.

Men’s basketball
It was a tough week for Aggie men's basketball. Wednesday night, Texas A&M fell to Missouri 86–85 in a heartbreaker at Reed after a Rashaun Agee layup was blocked at the buzzer. The final five minutes saw eight lead changes, but the Tigers grabbed the last one with 17 seconds left.
Saturday didn’t go their way either as A&M dropped an 82–69 matchup at No. 19 Vanderbilt. Marcus Hill paced the Ags with 20 points, but the difference came at the free-throw line, where Vanderbilt went 23-of-29 compared to A&M’s 5-of-10. The Aggies return home tonight at 6 p.m. to take on Ole Miss, looking to finally get back on track.
Women’s basketball
The Ags had an up-and-down week, starting with a 75–55 loss at No. 18 Kentucky. The Wildcats came out hot with a 27–5 first quarter, and then never let the Aggies take the lead.
Sunday was a whole different vibe. The Aggies took care of Auburn 81–63 behind double-doubles from Fatmata Janneh and Ny’Ceara Pryor. A&M heads to No. 21 Tennessee tomorrow at 5:30 p.m.
