Texas A&M outscored its opponents, Lehigh and Valparaiso, 23-4 on Day 1 of the Aggie Classic to kick off Trisha Ford's second season in Aggieland. The Aggies shut out the Beacons, 11-0, in five innings while run-ruling the Mountain Hawks, 12-4, on Friday's doubleheader.

With this victory over Valparaiso, the Maroon and White reclaim their winning record for the first time since the season opener. Although starters Starks and Flagg didn't provide much help, the Aggies rallied behind Mahan, Mitchell and Mekowulu to dominate the Crusaders.
