Fresh off a convincing double-digit win in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, Texas A&M returns to Reed Arena to try to punch its ticket to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2012.

UT-Arlington broke through for five runs in the top of the 18th inning to take Tuesday night's midweek contest over the No. 9 Aggies. Cason Sherrod and Asa Lacy combined to throw 10.1 innings of scoreless relief, but the Mavs kept the A&M bats off balance all night long.

Texas A&M was rewarded for its 2018 performance on Monday as the NCAA selection committed named the Aggies a 4-seed in the Big Dance. A&M will face Drake in the first round of the NCAA Tournament and will host the first two rounds at Reed Arena.

The Aggies fell short of defending their men's Indoor Championship from 2017 despite setting a new world record in the 4x400 meter relay on Saturday. The A&M women finished 10th in the final indoor meet of the season.

The A&M men's and women's track and field teams combined to send several athletes to the finals on the first day of the NCAA Championships. Will Williams set the school record in the long jump as the men sit in second place after one day of action.

The Texas A&M softball team capped off its preparation for Southeastern Conference play on Wednesday with two wins over Incarnate Word. The Aggies scored 15 runs across the two games and head into league play with a 13-1 record.

Texas A&M's SEC Tournament run came to an end as the Aggies fell to second-ranked Mississippi State in the semifinal round. Chennedy Carter scored 27 points in the loss for the Aggies.
