The Lettermen’s Association began as a means for former students who won varsity letters at Texas A&M to gather from time to time to support the university’s athletic programs. The organization is now celebrating its golden anniversary.

At last Friday's Burgess Banquet, former Texas A&M offensive lineman Jake Matthews was officially inducted into the Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Fame. The current Atlanta Falcon joined TexAgs Radio to reflect on his days in Maroon and the honor of becoming a Hall of Famer.

When left-handed power hitter Mike Scanlin left Texas A&M following the 1986 season, he held 13 school records, including the career home run record. After being inducted into the A&M Athletics Hall of Fame, Scanlin joined TexAgs Radio to discuss what that honor meant to him.

At the 44th annual Burgess Banquet on Friday night, the Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Fame honored a number of new inductees for their contributions to the Maroon & White. TexAgs presents the induction speech of each new member of the Hall of Fame.

The Texas A&M Hall of Fame Class of 2017 was announced on Monday, listing six Aggie athletes that will be inducted this coming September. Fooball legends Von Miller and Antonio Armstrong headline the class, which also includes Danielle Adams, Jessica Beard, Eric Sehn and Jim Hacker.

Over the weekend six athletes joined the Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Fame and two longtime contributors to athletics were welcomed to the Hall of Honor. During the Hall of Fame Banquet they shared their reaction to the honor and thoughts their time in Aggieland and the current state of A&M.

Legendary Aggie softball player Shawn Andaya-Pulliam joined Gabe Bock on TexAgs Radio Wednesday to discuss her induction into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame Wednesday night in Waco and much more.
