Aggies struggle in all facets, drop opener to Islanders, 62-56
The Maroon & White were outplayed on both sides of the ball and struggled to find any rhythm in a 62-56 loss to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Monday. In the program's first season-opening loss in 11 years, the Aggies shot just 27.3 percent from the field, including 3-of-25 from deep.

No. 13-seed A&M became the lowest-seeded team to advance to the quarterfinals when they pulled of a 79-72 upset over No. 5-seed Mississippi State on Thursday. For the second straight day, SEC All-freshman selection Sydney Bowles shined, scoring a game-high 19 points.
