Texas A&M completed its twelfth football practice of the fall on Saturday. After practice, Head Coach Kevin Sumlin and kicker Daniel LaCamera spoke to the media about team progress and giving increasing attention to the opener at UCLA.

Texas A&M Football held its first public scrimmage of the spring last Friday, allowing fans and media to get a look at the team in action. Billy Liucci was on campus for the festivities and shared his thoughts in his third report on the Aggies' spring practices.

Aside from a few big plays in from the Aggie passing game, Mississippi State dominated Texas A&M on both sides of the ball on Saturday. The Aggies attempted to claw back from a large early deficit but were rebuffed by the MSU run game in the loss.

Christian Kirk stole the headlines Saturday night with two punts returned for touchdowns, plus a scoring reception, as the home Aggies rolled over the visiting Aggies.

Texas A&M struggled mightily in the first half against the Razorbacks, but the Aggies finished strong in the second. The Aggie running game got going late to put the Hogs away in A&M's fifth straight Southwest Classic win, 45-24.

In a true SEC battle, the Aggies won the fight at the line of scrimmage. Steady movement in the middle of the field and big plays at crucial moments led to almost 500 yards of total offense against a talented Auburn defense.

Even after opening with an impressive win over UCLA at Kyle Field and shutting out a lesser opponent, A&M still had something to prove heading into their first SEC tilt. Mission accomplished...until next week.
