Bobby Shuttleworth

Head Coach

Two-time national championship winning assistant Bobby Shuttleworth was hired as the second head coach Texas A&M soccer program history in December 2025.

Shuttleworth spent four seasons on the Seminoles’ staff from 2022-25, serving as associate head coach the last two campaigns. He helped FSU win NCAA titles in 2023 and 2025, along with a third College Cup run in 2022.

During his time at Florida State, the Seminoles posted a 70-7-12 record. FSU sported the top winning percentage in the nation over that span at .854. In 2023, Shuttleworth was part of the United Soccer Coaches National Coaching Staff of the Year after leading Florida State to the first undefeated season in school history. FSU amassed a 30-6-4 (.800) league record in the ACC, the nation’s premier soccer conference.

The day after helping Florida State claim the 2025 national championship with a 1-0 victory over Stanford, he made the move to Aggieland. Shuttleworth, who mentored the goalkeepers as one of his main duties, had one of his star pupils shine brightest in the national championship game victory. Netminder Kate Ockene made nine saves as FSU won despite being outshot 18-8.

A hallmark of Shuttleworth’s stint in Tallahassee was excellence in the postseason. The Seminoles posted a 17-1-1 (.921) mark in NCAA Tournament games during his four seasons. FSU posted a 5-0-3 (.825) mark in ACC Tournament matches, collecting championship trophies all three years from 2022-24.

Shuttleworth headed to Florida State after a stellar 14-year career in the MLS. He wrapped up his time ranked 13th all-time among MLS goalkeepers in regular season matches played with 232 during stints with New England Revolution, Minnesota United FC, Chicago Fire FC and Atlanta United from 2009-22.
