A world-champion black belt from Brazil (Leonardo Xavier, trained under the Gracie's) will be in Bryan this Saturday for a no-gi seminar (I think it's 1-3 pm)
Not sure on the cost, but for more information contact Optimum Martial Arts at (979) 402-2458 or email wnvaletudo@yahoo.com.
I hear limited space is available.
If you go, tell Leo hi, and that swimmer Mike sent you.

Yeah, Leo is headquartered out of sugar land, just outside of town center.
Don't know much about the other guy.
There are lots of people who pay to become gracie affiliated, but leo grew up and trained in brazil, just came to the states about 3 years ago (maybe 4).

art trained at the Gracie academy for close to 9 years. i've seen many pics of him and his classmates with them. his instructor, ****', i believe, came up from brazil about 18 months ago to give him his black belt.

i only know of leonardo as his t-shirts are all over the smoothie factory i go to for lunch. i also work in town center...thought about stopping by his facility to check it out but with a newborn child i won't have any time for a while

edit - wow! they edit a foreign dude's name ???
