Great job Aggie women. You fought valiantly tonight.

Kudos too to Byrne for landing the tourney. I wonder how much difference that home crowd made in keeping us in the matches.

Nice work to all (except bigfoot) :-P

So we exceeded expectations? I'll admit that I know nothing about our tennis programs. Are we considered middle of the pack or what?

thats about where we should have finished, to be honest. Unfortunately, we will probably have to go to waco for regionals now.

Great season for the Aggie Women. Hope the ncaa is nice to us for a change...I dont understand why they wont let us travel more than 90 miles away for a regional. Doesnt make sense

Agreed. We are under the shadow of Waco.

Disappointing to lose to t.u., but either of these teams was going to be whipped by Baylor tomorrow, especially after the tough match tonight. I predict a 4-0 or 4-1 Baylor win tomorrow.

Same goes for the tournament. Unfortunately these Ags are not the type of team that is going to beat a top-15 team at their own house in the NCAA tournament.

We're losing some solid players this year and we've already seen the best of the incoming '08 class (Morgan Frank, who graduated early to join the team this spring). She is certainly solid, but if she's the cream of the '08 crop that has to replace Anna B. and Clifford, it looks like next year's team won't be much different than this year's.

Anna was cramping BIG TIME starting in the 3rd set and well into the tie breaker. She collapsed at one point and took an injury time out where they spent a lot of time workign out the cramps. She fought really hard and got to that tie breaker.

She seemed like she was handeling pretty ok until they had one really long volley and it caught up with her again and she was hurting bad. Sucks to loose with anna not being 100% at the end but it was quite an intense match.
