Belfour did have some off ice problems after that season (drunnk Edd tries to bribbe Dalllas cops with $1million), but to deny that he was great in 1999 is just plain wrong. You either have a bad memory or a bad bias.

Oh....and Go Stars! From 0-3 to 1-3 to 2-3. Let's see if they can force a game 7.

It wasn't a $1 million bribe, it was $1 billion!!

Nobody denied that he was great that year. I said he was a head case and managed to hold it (meaning his head) together for 16 games. He was stellar that year, but his decline was painful even for a non-stars fan. To see the legend of the blackhawks become what he became was brutal. And on a different, fan-type note, he should never have changed the Eagle on his helmet. When he first got to dallas he kept the same eagle, just changed the colors. Just wrong seeing Eddie the Eagle without his trademark eagle later on.
