Draper's carved out a nice little career doing what he does, but I wouldn't put him in the top 10 of defensive forwards all time by any means.
I can't disagree with that. He is clearly behind guys like Carbonneau and Lehtinen. The problem with ranking great defensive forwards is that they fade into history so easily. In his prime, Draper was one of the two or three best defensive forwards in the league, but he has really fallen off in the last couple of years. It was nice to see him get the goal tonight (ugly of course) but I wouldn't be sad to see him and Maltby step aside in the near future to make room for guys like Helm and Abdelkader. Speaking of Maltby, I've always thought of him the same way you think of Draper, sort of a supreme pest.
I actually really like Steve Ott. I love his drive and dedication.
This was a fun series, I hope to see another one next year. Morrow really came into his own this year and Turco remains one of my five or six favorite non-Wings. It will be interested to watch that young blueline develop. I think that Hull (another one of my alltime favorites) will continue to guide the Stars in the right direction.
