piag...this is a team! One golfer will not win the NCAA's for you. That golfer could help you get close, but you need a TEAM!

THIS TEAM IS GREAT!

I really don't want to hear anybody else say anything about "one golfer" or that "we could have been better...". These are worthless statements that have no substance to them!

Ashley Freeman, who is not nationally ranked or even looked at by those who do the rankings, has had the tournament of her life! To be ranked in the TOP 5 against the likes of Munoz, Loh, Lewis, Blumbherst, Nordqvist, Walsh, etc. is something that needs to be looked at with nothing but amazement!

This team is rated #23 in the country, and honestly speaking, I thought that was a little overrated for this year! We have struggled all year long and maybe they were cutting us some slack because DM is healthy now. In any case, instead of focusing on what we could have done if one player had done better, how 'bout we think about what we could have done if we had played according to what the national ranking media thought we would do!

It is no secret that LJ and MO have had some struggles. However, what I know, because I have kept up with them throughout the years, not just the NCAA Championship Tournament, is that they have had a great YEAR! Today will be MO's final round as an Aggie and we need to be proud of the fact that she has stepped up and very much helped this team when we needed it most, like round 2 of this tournament when weather conditions were almost unbarable!

This team is great because they are a TEAM! If this were an individual effort, we would not be in this tournament!

Recruiting...


The only player that I can think of right off is a girl out of OK. I think her name is Reeves.

She was a phenom is HS. Won, I think, every tournamnnt she played!

Anyhow, she will be very good!

The other thing to remember is we have true freshman, Sara Hemmingway, who is VERY good, and will only get better!

Ash and DM will be Jr's. LJ will be a senior! Zwart will be a So.

I am assuming you are talking about MO, since ou made a comment earlier that MO is killing us.

Let's assume that we could replace MO with a player that could equal our average score of that round...

Round one

MO would have been replaced with an average score of 2. That would have given us a +2 for rd 1!


Round two

MO's score was used. We still would have had a +11.


Round three

MO's score would be replaced with an average score of +3. We would finish with a +9.



Add that up and we would be a +22! Granted, it is 7 strokes closer, but to say she is killing us and the reason we are not in this thing is off based!



These days, it is very hard to have a team with 5 subperb players! There are only about 4 or 5 teams in the country that can claim this! We are not one of them!

What I can say is that we have a team that is very solid. We are playing very good and well above what was predicted!

We are beating 13 teams rated higher than us!!!

It's pretty fun looking down the leaderboard, almost to the bottom, to find tu and lsu!

Living in BR, has caused me to despise lsu!
