Didn't stay but played. It was okay, but nothing remarkable. It depends on where you live and what you want to get away from whether it would be worth it or not.

haven't been in awhile. Used to have some challenging holes on the front 9. They also had bentgrass greens. This was over 10 years ago so it might have changed.

thanks,

we have a group of guys that get together in the middle of the summer to play 72 over two days, drink excessively and smoke too many cigars. we are going there this year.

I played out there in a high school tournament back in 2000-2001. Decently challenging course. Hole 6 (i think) is a 400 yard dogleg right par 4, second shot over water and to a green about 50 feet above you. Then hole 7 is a long dogleg left par 4 where you have to lay up off the tee and have a 175-200 yard shot to the green, all carry over water.

Pretty narrow for the most part... you can see some deer running around in the trees.

The thing I'll remember most about the tournament is it was our first tournament with a new kid from Mississippi named Casey Clendenon. He plays for Lamar now and you might recognize his name from last year's US Amateur. Anyway, he shot 73 in the morning, 66 in the afternoon. Won the tournament by like 8.
