i think this is the fight that starts the downward spiral on couture's career, you can't take that long of a break off mma and expect to be the same. the ring rust is going to cost couture the fight

Technique wins this one. Couture in Round 2 by arm bar or triangle choke.

I’m thinking Couture. I like the amateur vs. Greco-Roman style matchup. As big a Lesnar is, Randy has a significant striking advantage and if Lesnar does tie him up, Randy is much better in the clinch.

The only thing that concerns me is if Lesnar gets on side control or a mount.

Couture - patience & experience win out

Doesn't matter which one wins, Noguiera is gonna wipe the floor with Mir and then reunite the titles by submitting the hell out of whichever one of these clowns win.

I really hope and think Big Nog subs Mir. NOg is a great guy and a great champion. But I think Couture will give Nog some trouble. We all know Nog can take a beating and Couture will give him one win or lose.

He wasn't avoiding Nog. He was chasing Fedor, but the UFC wasn't going to let that happen outside the Octagon.

Now you can call him a clown for coming out of retirement or maybe trying to get out of his contract, but that's a reach.

its an interesting fight. I dont really see how randy will deal with lesnar's sheer size advantage. But im sure Couture has something planned, i'll never count him out.

Bobby, i think you may be the first person ive ever heard of that doesnt like Randy Couture.

Don't get me wrong I dislike Lesnar even more than Randy but Nog is just a great human being and you can't dislike him. In fact, he's such a good person that it makes it even easier to dislike Randy/Brock.

I've always kind of respected Nog but wasn't a huge fan, but after watching TUF, I love that guy and ont sure who I want to win if Nog faces Couture.

usually when in doubt about MMa fights, I pick the bigger, blacker fighter. this isnt applicable here and I don't really have a 2nd rule in case the first doesnt apply.

And like I answered Dan last time, he has obviously missed quite a bit of MMA & Boxing lately. At least he has the Hopkins - Pavlik fight to hang his hat on. Bernard does have about 15 lbs on Kelly on any given day.

He must hate the heavyweight division these days. I bet he grew up in Plano or somewhere like that and still wears his hats sideways.

I should point out that Forrest is bigger than Rampage though

wow. randy weighed in at 220. he may try to stick and move this one out unless brock makes a big mistake.

I heard that Randy has been training with Shane Carwin to help prepare him for Brocks size. Can't wait for the fight should be a good one!

Oh BTW, I would also love to see Carwin vs. Brock. It would be interesting to see those two huge guys go against each other.

I believe the "bigger, blacker" rule has only been applicable in Rampage's first UFC fight. Rampage won. The rule stands.

Keep in mind that it's only implemented "when in doubt"

i think rule #2 for picking MMA fights is "when in doubt and rule #1 does not apply, go with the guy that has been in the least amount of fake fights"

Lesner wins by TKO int he second.

It didn't even look like Brock hit him hard at all. Maybe it was the knee before hand?

I am not sure. He was definitely rocked by the knee. Then again, Lesner has a lot of power and if it connects, it doesn't have to look like much to be really bad.

i don't think it was the knee, but hard to tell for sure.

it doesn't take much in the temple, or even close to the back of the head, and that punch was somewhat in between.

scary thing about brock is with all that power, he also has the reach of a guy who is 6'10"
