The 2008 track & field recruiting rankings were published in the latest issue of Track & Field News. As usual, we did great in the women rankings. The men were not ranked.

Of the top seven recruits, all are still on the roster with the exception of super recruit and three time All American April Williams. I don’t think she ever showed up. Easily the top two 2007 recruits were Gabby Mayo and Jessica Beard.

With the men projected second, imagine if they actually had a recruiting class ranked.

Actually, I believe they missed Phiri and Reid last year in the rankings.

Also, is Tarmoh definitely here? If so, the sprint relays is just going to be unreal when she is eligible.

Tarmoh is listed in the tamu student directory so I believe she is enrolled in classes.

Tarmoh is now listed in the track roster on the Web.

Can you look in a 2007 Fall Student Directory to see if freshman April Williams is listed? I do not know where she is from but she was probably our third best recruit in 2007. She was rated No. 1 twice in the 100 hurdles while earning three consecutive high school All-American honors.

Thanks
