CC, I was wondering the same thing. Has RH returned? I know RH and like the knowledge and passion for college tennis that he brings to the board. If RL is the the poster formerly know as Rocket Horn, I say "Welcome back."

I watched the live video of the A&M-Nebraska match. First one I have seen. Was that hugely overweight Santa Claus walking around Denton? WOW!! I thought he was a trainer or something.

Steve is a great guy and has done a great job building this program. McKinley is also a very high quality Coach. Segal is a very good Coach and my sources indicated that he would have loved to have had this job, but the wifey nixed it. It's pretty sad when you are judging a guy by his weight instead of his results. We have gotten better every year under this team, and it's not because we went out and signed 6 Germans. They have a chance to make a little noise this year. Let's get behind these guys, they are playing great right now!

Wikipedia is inconclusive. I never realized that he was THAT good of a tennis player, wow.

All I can tell LVII is that he/she has never sat down and talked with Steve about how he feels about playing Texas. We have a decent shot this year, and I can assure you he and Bob will coach our team as hard as possible to give them the best chance of winning.

If you had a kid, and your kid went on to college and played for the longorns (sure, you wouldn't let them, but lets just say theoretically that they did...or any school that plays against the Aggies for that matter if its easier for you to stomach), wouldn't you want your kid's team to whip the Aggies? I know that I would. Of course I hope that my kids become Aggies and I will do what I can to make it happen, but if any of my kids end up playing sports for any school other than A&M and end up playing against the Aggies, I will be cheering like a madman FOR my kid (not for the Aggies to do poorly, but for my kid and his team to do their very best). Some things (very few, but some) are more important than your allegiance to A&M. Your family is one of them, your career is another. Just about all of us would rather have t.u. crush A&M next Thanksgiving than lose our jobs. Well, for Denton, the inverse is true and if he loses to his alma mater every year he may lose his job! And if he beats them every year they may hire him...so what better motivation to have a "burning desire" to beat the longhorns?

As for Tim Segal, he is a good coach and an even better person. I enjoy talking to him.

As for Denton, the answer is yes he wants to beat Texas more than any other opponent. The main reason is by doing so he gets job security. The secondary reason is by doing so he gets job security. Did I say that twice? Must be important.

Finally , Steve will never be a candidate for the job at Texas. Main reason, they already have one. The previous coach at Texas was there 28 years. There have only been four since the beginning.
