I like how they take note of any "foreigner."

It'll be a battle, but if we're all healthy and feeling good, we've obviously got as good a shot as anyone.

On the men's side, Oregon is just damn good. But, it looks like we've also got as good a shot as anyone to knock them off.

Interesting that there is almost no overlap between us an Oregon (1 & 2 in both mens and womens projections) on specific events. We are built for the sprints and they are built for distances. It would seem to me, unfortunately, that we have less margin for error given our strength and reliance in the sprints. Would be awesome though to bring in 3 NC's in a matter of a few weeks!

our women need to run their best 4x400 of the year, picking up a few spots and unexpected points

We need Allison to get healthy and if it comes down to it, we will run Lucas on the 4x4 as well. Do that and we would be in the mix.

Wish those projections would show like 11th-15th, to see where you have a chance for someone to move into the scoring.

A&M has a VERY good chance of finishing in the top 10 in the Director's Cup if our T&F does well.

This is impressive considering the bad football season and disappointing baseball season. Shows how well our athletic program as a whole is doing.

Yeah, it's too bad baseball and softball and baseball didn't live up to expectations. And by expectations, I mean their #1 and #5 preseason rankings. I don't think anyone thought baseball, after losing 2 players who flirted with .400 most of the season, would be the best team in the land. Softball, after losing their pitcher who started 95% of their games, along with the bats we lost, would be anywhere up there. But heck, even a superregional berth by either team would've been nice.

We were sitting 20th as of the end of Tennis/Women's golf, Men's volleyball, Women's WP, and lacrosse.

Texas is in 11th. Nebraska is 25th, Oklahoma is 32nd, Missouri is 37th, and Okie Light is 44th.'

The good news for us is that we only have 19 sports to enter (you can enter up to 20), so whereas most teams ahead of us can only improve their top 20, we have whole new entries for our top 20. The bad news is that we'll always be 1 sport (aka 100 potential points) short of the best programs. We'd need to add another men's program (10 mens and 10 womens), and that's probably not going to happen, so this won't ever change.

We probably won't be able to knock off Texas this year for tops in the Big 12, which sucks. But next year, I see it happening.

We are 20th, but that does not include the 100pts we'll get for the golf nc. With those points we would be around the #14 mark. Our women's T&F are favored to win the national title and our men only mild favorites and predicted to come in 2nd. With A&M having 2 sports left that we excel in, and tu only having baseball, there is a good chance that not only will we jump into the top 10 but we could actually pass the horns.

Guess we'll see.

gobluewolverine, whoever ranked softball #5 was going off impulse from the prior year.

The team was hit hard, hard, hard by graduation. And the hit went a lot further than Megan Gibson.
