Just a reminder that the NCAA singles championship starts today at Mitchell. The Aggies have three players in the field of 64. Wil plays at 2 against the number 5 seed from Kentucky, Austin plays Clay Donato at 3:30 (Aggies will remember that Clay played here before transferring to UNC and both trained in
Bradenton), and Conor plays at 5. Should be exciting.

CP has been playing really, really well as of late, as was evidenced when he thoroughly handled Miss's #1 in straight sets. Maybe the unfortunate loss to Miss in the team draw was a blessing in disguise, because I have a feeling that he will be playing a LOT of tennis over the next week.

Pollock advances; Austin and Wil don't. No surprise on Wil losing but I'm somewhat surprised about Austin losing to Donato.

Even though he finished off the game, Austin seemed to lose his composure after Clay called a serve out that was clearly in. From that point on he just seemed to miss a lot and could not win a game when Clay was serving. It's too bad because he was rolling before that. Hopefully this will help him play with extra fire during doubles.

Seems to be a trend with our teams (guys and girls), that when they don't get a call their way, they fall apart. I wish we could fix that.

Two terrific matches today of great tennis in which we were able to get the victories!

Connor at 11:00 tomorrow morning in singles with our doubles at 4:30 in the afternoon. Hope a bunch of people can make it out to continue rooting them on!

Not only was Conor down 3-0 in the third set, the San Diego boy had a number of break points in game 4 which would have put him up 4-0, but of course it never happened. Great win for Conor. Probably playing the no. 2 seed from Oklahoma State tomorrow, although he was in the third set against an Arkansas player. The 12th Man really helped Conor today.

Connor was great today in fighting back in the third set to get the win. Another match filled with really great tennis from both players. I'm looking forward to his match tomorrow against Blake. From what I saw when looking over there during the breaks in action during Connor's match Blake was playing really well and it should be another great match.

Conors match has been moved up to 10:00 am on Saturday. NCAA is citing weather concerns as the reason to move it up. Not sure yet what they are doing with doubles.

Game of inches. When Conor went up a break early in the third set, I thought he would get it done. Props to Blake for breaking right back and hanging in there. Great match. Conor is a real champion. Hope we can get doubs in this afternoon. Raining pretty hard right now.
