Soccer wins in OT 2-1

The soccer win over #15 Washington was awesome!

Soccer has now won 5 in a row. Tonight's game was really excitng. Emma Smith scored as the PA announcer was counting off the last 10 seconds of the overtime period - Very Dramatic!

However, the crowd was disapointing; only about 1,100 people to see the #7 Ags take on the #15 Huskies is too few! I know it's a Sunday night game, which accounts for so few young kids being able to attend, but the student support is sub-par, and has been all season.

The yell leaders were there and actually got into the game - so much so that the referee tried to make them wear blue vests so he could distiguish them from the Washington players running along that sideline (who also were in all white). I don't know if that's more of a cut on the yell leaders (who might look like women soccer players) or the UW players (who resembled guys with corps cuts). Anyway, the Yell Leader wouldn't wear the vests, they just stepped back onto the concrete in fron of the student section. Good Bull to the Yell Leaders!

The team is on the road for their next 3 games. I'm looking forward to the next home match (in 2 weeks vs Tech).
