Good call on Soccer vs. UNC. That was huge, and with the gigantic, record-setting crowd that was there, it turned a whole new generation on to Aggie Soccer.

I mean, could we call it top 10 this decade?

After going through so many tough 5 set games over the years, this match was for sure one of the most special moments.

Listening to the radio coverage of the last few points, you could really hear how emotional the team cheers were getting towards the end when they knew the victory was coming.

If this match was summarized on video, the last 5 points would be well deserving of a super slowmo with the chariots of fire music in the background.

Speaking of soccer and the volleyball situation, the 2002 soccer team started off 2-4 but would eventually end up going out to Los Angeles in the Sweet 16 where they knocked off third ranked UCLA in a shootout.

UCLA has made the Final Four every year since then, by the way.

Well, that's kind of my point. It's got "potential."

If we can somehow pull a victory out of this, I think we'll have to wait and see how the rest of the story goes before making it a crown jewel achievement by our athletic department.

How about tennis' 4-3 upset over 2nd ranked Pepperdine in the middle of the 2000 season in front of what was at the time the largest crowd to watch a tennis match in Aggieland. The Aggies came into the match 2-5 against ranked opponents. Pepperdine came into the match with the longest winning streak in the nation.

The win helped set off a 17 match winning streak on through conference tounament play (where they knocked off juggernaut Baylor for the title) that resulted in the Aggies first ever Sweet 16. A&M would make the Sweet 16 6 years in a row.

The whole discussion is completely hypothetical. I really don't see where we disagree. I do think that a win next weekend over Texas would have a profound impact on the program. Again, it's all hypothetical. This team has already done more than most people expected. I, for one, am celebrating that.

Good call LOB. That was a clear sign that the A&M Women were officially on the scene in the Big 12 and were going to be able to compete with Texas year-in and year-out.

Would you believe that NEBRASKA actually won the first 2 women's S&D Big XII championships?

Bill obviously does a great job with his swimming & diving programs.

LOB - I'm a bit late to this party but I agree the 931-930 win over tu's women's swim team was huge. It was done in such incredible style too - on the last event.

Back to the Sarah issue, from my understanding, it is personal and it really shouldn't be an issue to any of y'all. Just look at her heart through her four years and how she left everything out there for every single match. This isn't information that is going to come out, and it's something that was not intentional by any means if that helps.

She is a great Aggie and I am proud of how well she represented A&M in the USA as well as internationally!
