Yeah, I mean, it's hard to argue with the success of the coaches we have currently, almost across the board. The only sports where we've not had much success at some point under the current staffs are CC, volleyball, and football (Am I missing someone?). Our distance runners, unfortunately, get a bit of the short end of the stick versus the sprinters (not sure how the scholarships overlap between CC and track, but I assume they're strongly intertwined), so that explains that. Sherman's still new, but has to show us something next season or he'll start to feel some serious pressure (Football board crazies aside). And, well, everyone who's been reading this board knows the story with the Corbellis. But even they made a sweet 16 this year, so I'm not sure if they belong on the list. Guess no sustained success from them.
I mean, I hate to see beloved coaches (beloved for their personalities/dedication, if not their success) get fired as much as the next guy. But there's always a next beloved guy on deck, and with facilities/fan commitment like ours, hard to argue with keeping someone around who's not performing, or is too much of a headache for the AD.
