WOMEN:
In the final day's events, the Aggie Women should earn enough points to easily win the championship. If we have a good day, we may hit 150 points. Our nearest competition will be Nebraska who should get at least 110 points.
MEN:
The Aggie Men probably need to get to 120 points to win. This will be difficult. The Men start Sunday 30 points behind Nebraska. Nebraska has earned points in six events so far - the Aggies in only three.
The race for the Men's title is expected to be between Nebraska, Oklahoma, and the Aggies. All should break the 100-point mark.
Sunday, the Men are expected to earn 10 points in each relay and 15+ points in each of the other 4 events we are entered in (100m, 200m, 400m, and the triple jump). Nebraska will be participating in 11 events Sunday. Both Oklahoma and the Aggies should score more points than Nebraska Sunday. However, can we score enough to overtake Nebraska and stay ahead of OU?
If both Nebraska & Oklahoma do not falter, we may need 20 points in the relays, 20 points in the triple jump, and 60 points in the sprints to win the Championship Trophy.
800m participants lack of earning any points hurt us badly. Could have had 10+ points.
FRESHMEN:
Sam Humphreys - so far he is the freshman star of this class finishing first in the Javelin Throw. Currently ranks 2nd in US.
Bonnie Richardson - finish 4th in the Heptathlon with over 5000 points.
Donique' Flemings - missed qualifying for 100H by 0.01 second, however, she did qualify for the 400H with the 3rd fastest time.
Katherine Devlin - a surprising 4th place finish in the 10,000m.
