Yep, you're right. I've just been watching off channelsurfing.net live when that's happened. The quality isn't too different from ESPN3, but you would think they could at least show the semis live and then re-air them later...

I hate that NBC has the rights to the weekend coverage of the French, and I think Wimbledon as well.

It's so freaking annoying. Last weekend, they wouldn't allow the tennis channel to show any of the feature matches in the morning that they wanted to show on tape delay on NBC midday, and tennis channel wouldn't even update you on scores for those matches or anything.

It's freaking ridiculous.

Soderling guts it out in the 4th, and as we probably expected, the match will be decided in the 5th. I must say, Mats Wilander is quite entertaining as a commentator.

well, we had a great match, with only one break and a few gutsy soderling saves keeping the first set close.

He opened up the 2nd set with 4 chances to break in the first game, and couldn't get it done. Some masterful tennis.

A few games later, it looks like Soderling has completely lost focus. Rafa broke him at love without really having to try to hard, and the unforced errors are piling up.

I hope this match isn't in cruise control, because Soderling needs to realize he's 1 or 2 points away from leading this thing, and he has what it takes to frustrate nadal and steal a set or 2.

I really want to see Soderling get some edge back. He's getting the chances, he just needs to capitalize on them. It doesn't help, however, that Rafa is hitting some incredible shots to get out of all the sticky situations. But come on Robin!!

Well.... Soderling had some pretty good moments, but Nadal was untouchable today. It's ridiculous how good he is on clay. Good for Nadal!

Soderling had plenty of chances early, but the 5 setter in the semi's gassed him it appeared.

Too bad in that regard, I was hoping for a great final, and ended up watching an ass kicking.

Looking forward to Wimbledon and a hopeful Federer/Nadal final.

Don't know if any of you saw this result, but Ryan Harrison made the 3rd round. This is pretty neat for me at least because:

a) I've known him since he was born
b) His dad was my tennis coach growing up
c) He was one of my students when I worked at an elementary school
d) He honed his skills in Texas, where I think he still lives.

Kind of neat seeing a kid grow up and then see him getting to the 3rd round of a major event.

I've seen him play several times, and I think he's going to be a dang good player in the next coming years. His younger brother isn't too shabby either.

Actually, most everyone believed for a long time that younger bro was going to be even better. Ryan always had much more intensity about him though, where Christian was much more reserved, in a shell, even as a young kid.

It's just pretty neat seeing him play at this level. I got to talk to him after the Australian, but haven't had a chance to do so yet... My guess is he isn't even happy with this result. He never is unless he wins.
