WOW!! What a HUGE streak of success for the men and women, led by a legendary coach. Heartiest congratulations to them all. It's an especially great day to be an Aggie.

Gotta admit - my doom and gloom attitude started to resurface today in first half of my recorded viewing.

Worked last night but set DVR to record. Woke and started program, couldn't believe it when 4X100 debacle occurred.

But our men and women pulled through and couldn't be more proud. Of course, local Fox news 930 sports had nothing to say about - only 3 different pieces on the friggin Cowboys (not even playing), tu baseball, NCAA, soccer, bocce ball, VFW checkers tournament, etc . . .

So many on this thread bring up the disappointments at th meet, but how about Trinity Otto? He did amazing coming in third at decathalon. so many others contributed to the team as well. Heck, even though Phiri's 200 would be a "disappointment" it scored one point which was the difference in the meet.

And the women. Almost every event went flawless, starting with triple jump.


By the way, track and field seems to have much more friendly athletes. They always pull for each other and even their competitors. Very classy group.

Congrats to both teams. The women just outclassed everyone else and the guys put up a gutsy performance in the 4X400 relay to pull it out (hopefully next year they make it easier on themselves and get the baton around in the 4X100 - everyone should be back from that team so maybe some redemption there).

Kuddos to Objective Aggie! There were several un-sung heroes at this meet. Was at the meet because it was in Oregon, love track, and was following several men and women athletes from A & M. Right, how about Trinity Otto, a decathlete that does it without all the glory of running sprints and relays. Participates for 2 days and obviously does it for the enjoyment and committment to A & M. This is what I think track is all aboout - you do it not for the the fame and glory - but because of your love of the sport and each
athletes accomlishments!

Unbelievalbe results.

Trinity Otto has certainly stepped up big time both this year and last...performing far better than expected! Kudos to this talented athlete and as a "tracknut" I hope he'll continue to compete.
