Apparantly the Ags have picked up a very promising middle distance runner from Norway. Henrik Ingebrightsen has raced 3:40.14 for 1500 meters and 7:58.15 fot the 3,000. Could be a good one!

Hurdledog, were/are you a member of the TAMU Track Team? Just curious if I actually know you.

I don't know where anyone is from but I sure appreciate any info posted about Aggie track and field. When I ran track it was considered one of the big 4 sports in high school. I think we had more fans at track meets than at baseball games. If the Ags had just a few good middle to long distance runners they would practically be unbeatable. And we don't even have an outdoor facility. I live in Houston and would gladly drive to Aggieland to take in a few quality meets and we most assuredly would have some. With Coach Henry at the helm, a phenomenom such as with the basketball program could occur. Track meets provide an exciting while relaxing way to spend an afternoon. Posts about the track team are always greatly appreciated.

For comparison's sake, Oregon's Andrew Wheating's personal best in the 1500m during the '09-'10 season was 3:37.

I also like to hear more about some of the other sports especially T&F... very proud of our teams.

Aggievaulter 07, I am not a member or former memeber of the track team. But, I am a huge longtime track fan and love the program at A&M. I am a teacher by trade, but do correspondence for Track and Field News and recently covered the 2 men's hurdle events at the outdoor NC's. I always enjoy your posts (even going back to the days when you posted on Trackshark)I love this site and the enthusiasm posters have for track.

Indoor meets are a lot of fun. I believe we have the Indoor Nationals again next year also. If you have not been to one of our indoor meets, try it next year and I think you will really enjoy the day.

Is Dan Waters still the coach for XC and Distance Events?

I recall him coaching a 1500m Champ out of TCU before..Eliud Njubi.
