Funniest fighter in history? Or at least funniest trash talker. (Hard to top Forrest Griffin's Got Fight for Humor)

Can he beat Silva? I don't know but I sure hope so. After Chael destroyed Paulo Filo in WEC (and was cheated of the belt) he's been on a pretty good streak. With his confidence, he may be able to put that arrogant, bad dancing, media-avoiding, faking that he can't speak English, (extremely talented) jerk, Silva, in his place!

Chael will be out in 1 round...He is gonna shoot in and become a highlight reel for Anderson...

He is a great interview. I think a fighter of his wrestling skill set is the type to beat Silva, but I don’t think Chael has the pure athletic quickness to shoot in clean. I think he catches a knee or uppercut on the way in. But I really hope I’m wrong.

I think chael knows better than to pull a forrest. He's not going to open himself up to something stupid. I really don't know if he can win but id be the happiest person alive if he did.
I (obviously) have little respect for silva. I don't even respect him as a fighter any more after the maia stupidity. He certainly hasn't earned a shot at gsp (though I know many dream of this fight) or shogun (since silva would never fight his buddy machida)
Chael is a very impressive wrestler as well as a decent striker. He's aggressive enough to not fear silva but not stupid enough to think this will be an easy fight. I think too many people forget about the mental aspect of mma and chael is at the top of it.

what a crappy, crappy, result for chael. to execute your game plan to perfection then lose by getting sloppy so close to the end. he left his arms out there all of rounds 3,4,and 5. kinda surprised silva only saw an opening at the end of round 5 to pull that off.

I read last night that it was the latest stoppage in UFC history. What a ridiculous fight... shame that Chael let it slip through his fingers after being so utterly dominant for 4.5 rounds.

i don't even watch UFC, but i listen to jim rome interview tons of UFC guys, and I love all the interviews, except the interview he had with this tool. sounded like a complete knob.

"That knob" was basically solely responsible for 117 doing double the numbers of many other Anderson Silva fights.

Good question, and honestly, he probably won’t ever. Even in his stand up, his skills are average-to-sufficient but he is still very aggressive and pushes the pace like he is a natural kick boxer. I just don’t think the guy knows how to pull the reigns back a little when needed.

Vitor will KO silva. Soares and co...must've seen a sudden decline in movement from silva, since they were urging him to retire....Rogan called it the "Roy Jones Dropoff" I think he was onto something.

Personally, I think Sonnen is a good guy and is just trying to get people fired up to watch the fights. And he is good at it! He was extremely professional after the fight.
I think Vitor could walk through Silva though Sonnen might prove a challenge for him. Maybe this will FINALLY teach Sonnen to work BJJ. I know wrestling is his "ground game" but this is MIXED marital arts!
