Roller coaster of a morning for the guys, some good swims, some bad swims, and a lot of luck getting into the top 8 with poor times. Great job getting it done on the girls end.
I'm gonna throw some bold predictions out there for tonight, so book em right now, you heard it here first. Let's start it off event by event. We're calling this "Big Papa B's Bold Predictions" (classic and original title, I know):
(p.s. I'm only gonna predict the guys, ladies are too dang complicated overall, I think we can all agree with that one)
400 Medley Relay - Guys pull the shocker on the horns, starting the session off with an upset in dramatic fashion as Balazs comes roaring to the finish to out-touch Mr. Feegy.
400IM - No special predictions here really...but all 3 Ags break 3:55, one maybe even closer to 3:50...
100Fly - Ariens takes it easy as a warm up for his 100 back, Henrik finally mans up and breaks 48 to nab the 4th spot from the *****-cats guy. Nick Han and fishy Troskot battle it out for 1st in the B heat, both getting under 49 (again for Han)
200Free - Ags go 1-3-8. Balazs lowers his school record to take the win, Dalton breaks 1:36 to split up the horns and grab the bronze. Wilson rounds out the field with another solid swim, getting under 1:39.
100Breast - Probably my boldest prediction yet, Ags go 1-2-3, all 3 guys under the school record. Can't predict the exact order of our guys, cuz I don't want to upset anyone by picking favorites.
100Back - This one is a tough one to call...I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Ariens take this one easy as well, and get ready for a time trialed 200MedleyRelay tonight, getting his shot at the 50Bk (I think someone mentioned that earlier?). However, if they decide NOT to time trial tonight (which would make sense considering everyone on that relay would have swam at least once (most of them twice) already this session), Ariens will motor away to the top 3, sending the *****-cats crying to the bottom of the A heat with a 47low. Look for another solid swim out of the asian Mr. Han in the B heat again, that dude is swimming lights out.
Diving is difficult for me to predict, since its not really my area of expertise, but Grant wins with Cam 3rd just behind Drewy-poo. The other 2 Ags dive their hearts out also, finishing in the 5-7 spots. Big time points for the Dive Crew.
Think that's all I've got for tonight, check back in to see if I have time to make another list of "Big Papa B's Bold Predictions" for tomorrow. Can't promise anything, but if I get enough requests I might try and make extra sure I squeeze out the time for them.
