This actually looks like a really solid class. Sierra Patrick is a heck of an athlete, but not sure if she will have the Ball control to play outside and pass. I believe she plays right side for her high school team. Several of the others have also been in the USA Volleyball pipeline, which is a good sign.
Haven't seen her play, but Sierra Patrick's team, Lake Travis, is the defending 4A champion, 45-0 this season, and ranked #2 in the US. Amy Neal from the same team is a tu commit.
Very nice article in today's Startlegram about Shelby Sullivan. Multi sport athlete (track and volleyball). Very athletic and extremely competitve according to her high school coach. Welcome to A&M to all recruits. Congratulations and Gig 'em!
The class we have coming in looks really good on paper. However the one problem I have is we do not have the taller pin attacker that many of the top programs are recruiting. The 3 from Austin Juniors are very good but Partick and Lowak may have to immediately contribute on the outside. Next year our Pins attckers should be: Mellanger Vrana Renyolds Kastmo (RS) Patrick (RS) Lowak a bit worried about the production level on outside to replace ball control/hitting of Black as somebody with little collegiate experience on pins will have to be one of the outsides and maybe even both if Mellanger goes back to the libero position. Kastmo could be an outside but I like her on the right side
The good thing about Sullivan is her getting a year of practice and experience without having to contribute immediately if Minnerly and Miller fortify the middle next year.
