Just saw the lineup for the TISCA Clinic in September. Two headline speakers. One if them is our very own Jay Lerew! And the other is Rhodenbaugh, so a nice equal representation to balance out the fact that it's in Austin and is hosted by a UT organization. No keynote speakers from the Longhorn camp.

Nice get by Jay/the Athletic Department/whoever set it up! Big steps in the right direction towards turning some local recruits our way.

Keep it going! Love to see Lerew get some coverage for the great work he does.

Kinda weird though it is Lerew. Almost no high school divers of any quality are coached by their high school coach.

Edit: The more I think about it, you're right.

Hopefully this is just a stepping stone to more of these type of appearances.

No doubt it is good for A&M. The coach of a diver that scored a ton of points at NCAAs will surely talk about the strength of the program he is part of. Jay's daughter dives for A&M Consol.

We will be a top five diving program as long Jay is here. We might be #1 as soon as, well, now. At a minimum we have Grant, Cam, Jaele, Janie, and the stud girl out of Florida all on the team next year. Show me another school with five divers of that caliber. If any of the others improve/keep progressing it's all gravy. We are LOADED in diving.

I don't know much about the TISCA clinic, but how is it that Rodenbaugh is a speaker above any coach that coaches in Texas?

Ehh, there's only so many coaches in the state that anyone wants to listen to, and they can't have the same ones every year. Some probably have conflicts, etc.

Rhodenbaugh is a great choice. Has Texas ties (swam and started his coaching career at SMU back when they were good), has worked with some of the best swimmers in the world at Arizona, former Masters World Record holder, USA National Champ, his sister Kim is an Olympian. Better than having to listen to Kim Brackin, ehh?

Brackin is just such a nice person full of morals and values though! She should be all time speaker!
