Ryan learned to play on Clay - In Shreveport... I grew up taking lessons from his dad before they moved away to really let Ryan train. I want to see a replay of the match, I didn't get to see it if it was on, but from what I heard, he played very hard.

Even when Ryan was extremely young, he was super talented, and so was his brother. Here's to the Harrisons being an American force to be reckoned with!

Looks like Federer won with ease today.

In other news, Gisela Dulko won her 2nd round match, meaning she'll face Stosur in the 3rd round. Love watching Dulko.

My goodness, Lisicki carried off the court on a stretcher (again).

Can't help but feel awful for her. She showed a lot of courage fighting through that pain.

But Zvonareva is my favorite and I was about to be pissed if she got herself eliminated in the 2nd bloody round.

Wozniacki v Wozniak must be fun for the announcers.

I should have just stayed asleep during the Federer match- absolute blowout.

Is anyone else glad to see Richard Gasquet back in things? I love watching him, especially his backhand.

I felt so bad for Lisicki, hope that she recovers completely.

Djokovic is on another level, and I can only see him getting stronger throughout the tournament.

Keep an eye on Sam Querrey tomorrow. He's certainly not the best clay courter, but I expect him to do well against Ivan Ljubicic. Ljubicic is the kind of guy who can give people a lot of trouble if they aren't completely focused, so Sam will need to take control early.

I just saw the conclusion of the Wozniak-Wozniacki match. Does it bother anyone else that the women refuse to hit the overhead smash? I've never understood why. On Wozniacki's match point, Wozniak could have hit a smash to win the point; instead, she let's the ball bounce and hits a regular forehand that Wozniacki easily returns for the winner. Why?

that drives me nuts too. The swinging volley crept into the womens game via the Williams sisters, and unfortunately it caught on. I guess it the way the game is going, but you see the high swinging forehand instead of an overhead throughout the college game too. I don't like it, nor do I understand why they hit it.

Well, it looks like Clijsters is doing her best to get eliminated early.

Zvonareva escaped with her life yesterday, and now this. What is going on with the top few seeds on the women's side?

And that will do it. Rus just destroyed Clijsters in the third set.

Ljubicic - Querrey has been a good match so far.

Update: Mardy Fish takes the first set in a breaker by the score of 7-1. Haase completely fell apart.

Update: Fish gets it done in straights, 6-1 in the 3rd. Extremely well-played match today by the last American man left!

Vania King should win her match in 3, and there's a good one going on between Malisse and Verdasco- Verdasco leads 2 sets to 1.

I love seeing Fish get through in straight sets.

I feel like the match ups today are kind of meh... Really just can't wait for Tsonga-Wawrinka and Djokovic-Del Potro tomorrow!

Rafa still doesn't look his best, but he's up a set on Pablo Andujar. Andujar has given him some trouble, and had it not been for some badly-timed errors, that set might have gone differently.

Update: After an incredibly entertaining 3rd set and Andujar losing a 5-1 lead, Rafa wins it in a breaker. There were some amazing points played.

If you're not watching the Sharapova/Garcia match, you should be. Caroline Garcia is 17 years old from France, and she's giving Sharapova all she can handle- Garcia won the first set 6-3 and Sharapova just won the 2nd 6-4.

Update: Sharapova just too tough for the teenager- wins it 6-0 in the third. Great fight from Garcia, but she made too many errors in the end and couldn't close it out.

Sharapova may win this thing. That was the match she needed to show herself, and everyone else, that she has what it takes. Down 4-1 in the second and wins 11 straight games. Impressive

Poor Garcia. She should have won that match. Nerves just got to her in the end.

I was watching the Monfils/Darcis match, but that chair umpire wouldn't shut up- almost as annoying as watching Monfils waste his talent so many times trying to be entertaining instead of making a smart play. Drives me crazy.

Well crap, Tsonga. I won't get to see any of Novak/Del Potro unless they don't finish due to darkness.

I was just saying, why don't they put lights in at Roland Garros? They had them in Rome a few weeks ago, why not the French?

They're talking about it, right? At least that's what I've heard before when reports of renovating Chatrier and adding a roof have come out.

They definitely need to. Wimby can't get lights because of dew forming after a certain time. RG needs lights though, stopping a match like that one in the middle is ridiculous

I still remember that circus between Fognini and Monfils last year because of the light.

Novak came out firing today against Del Potro- he's just way too tough right now. He wins it in 4. Tomorrow's match against Richard Gasquet has the potential to be very entertaining in front of the French crowds. Gasquet has looked pretty good so far, but I just don't know if Novak really can be taken down unless he has some sort of mental lapse.

Mardy has made WAY too many mistakes so far against Simon to really be competitive, and he's down 2 sets to love and a break in the third. It's not looking good right now.

Back to the lighting issue...I asked Patrick McEnroe on twitter about it last night, and he replied to me saying that they are getting roofs and lights in 2015 at Roland Garros
