Today The Texas A&M Mens Rugby thrashed Baylor to the tune of 44-0 in the Inaugural Texas A&M Sevens tournament.

Not sure if anyone else has had a shot at Baylor yet, but it was certainly fun to watch!

Did A&M bring their lawyers? Any word of pending litigation for public humiliation? Something about Texas rugby teams needing to look out for other Texas rugby teams and not run up the score?

Innagural sevens tourney? I thought A&M had been holding a summer 7's tourney for like 20 years?

I have a t-shirt from the A&M Sevens Tourney from the early 90s.

I do think it wasn't held for several years recently, though.

They stopped holding the tournament a few year ago. It was summer mens tournament so it was open to any teams. What went on yesterday was a Collegiate only tournament featuring OU, t.u., Baylor, and Sam Houston. Kind of a warm up tournament before the team heads to the Big 12 sevens tournament in a couple of weeks. The Varsity beat OU, Baylor, and A&M Second side before falling to OU in a rematch in the finals. t.u. couldn't continue playing in the Varsity division due to injuries. Not a bad showing after just a week of practice with 7s.

That makes more sense.

I played summer 7's from 83-87. When did we stop?
