Prepvolleyball.com has ranked our incoming freshman class this fall as #20 in the nation. Should be very competitive. Can't wait!!!!!

In their rankings, Prepvolleyball.com includes a write-up on each team. At the end, they say that this class looks to compete right away along with five returning starters who are hungry to push deep into the NCAA playoffs next fall.

The key to this recruiting class as we enter the SEC is that we will have depth. Last year depth was an issue in terms of qulaity players at specific positions.

After Black we had no major threat at Outside
After Miller we had no major threat at Middle

This year we will have a bunch of freshman that will cause a fight for playing time at various positions.

The keys to this season...
1. Set location becomes much more important with the loss of Black. Will the precision of the set along with continued development of Sawatsky as an attack option allow for the incoming hitters to worry about attack angles and opponent blocking system rather than where the set is coming from
2. Emergence of 3rd threat...after Miller and Kastmo (regardless of OH or RS) will the team have a third and 4th option that will disallow the opponent from committing on our main option in the front row.
3. Athleticism...will the major improvement with this year's class in terms of athletic capabilities be ready for SEC play. The schedule allows for us to get 8-1 record possibly 9-0 going into SEC play. Will those 9 matches get needed chemistry and floor time for these freshman
4. Freshman impact...how much are we going to have to rely on these freshman. I think Shelby Sullivan and Angela Lowak will be having to step in immediately or be significant contributors this season.

They exceeded expectations this past year...I hope they exceed expectations this year
