Coach Henry is generally a pretty positive person, but for him to say there were no mistakes means we did pretty good.

Barring a catastrophe, men look in great position to 4-peat. It will be a longshot for the women though...

For the men, 13 athletes qualified.....some other schools...

FSU has 21 athletes qualified, but could not find the breakout of men and women...there are more men...Ags have 25 total with 12 women.

Ags favored in men and LSU in women!!

Another variable is how many events your total qualified athletes are in as some qualified in more than one event.

Many of our qualifiers came in first or second in Austin. If we can do the same in Des Moines that will be a lot of points.

I'll have two point schedules out sometime late this week.

If I had to guess, I'd say that it will be extremely tight on the mens side. TFN Formchart has FSU 1 point ahead if accoutning for men that did not make Des Moines. FSU would win 52-51. We all know that the point totals don't end up that way. A&Ms men are typically ranked lower than FSU's so there is the possibility for having a larger upside.

The women should end up somewhere 4-5. They'll probably be competing in the second tier with Kansas, LSU, and Oregon fighting for the crown.

Was it a surprise, disappointment, or expected that we did not have any qualifier in the Men's 800?

Disappointment.

But Preble and Roberts have both struggled since they were injured earlier in the spring.

Their issues actually have me worried about the possibility of fulfilling the predictiont aht they will win the 4x400.

Men's finish should be fun.

I was hoping that at least one of our guys would make it in the 800.

We have possible points in the discus and 3000M steeple chase which we have not had in the past. In the other hand we are not getting any points in the triple jump that we had the last couple of years. The javelin can be big for us.
