Nice article from the swimming geeks at SwimSwam about a super meet this weekend in Austin. I understand this meet was really Eddie Reese's concoction to help his guys (and a few gals) get ready for OTs. Only invited teams could send swimmers.

Agblastoff - is that your writing?

Could be the last tuneup meet for many before OTs.

Unfortunately have a lot of family stuff going on this weekend but I'm gonna try to make one night of finals. Would really like to see all three nights. Phelps, Missy, Feigen, and lots of Aggies swimming, especially Cammille, Sarah, and Breeja. Would sure like to see Breeja under 1:08 in the 100.

Missy will only be swimming Fri/Sat I believe, so if you want to see her go early!

I'm planning to be there Saturday for finals...Phelps really likes that pool, could put up some great times.

Missy has swum well in that pool too. The Colorado Stars used to swim there in January as one of their travel meets. I saw Missy when she was 14 for the first time - swam a 48+ 100 free SCY. I had never heard of her and said "Whoa! Who is that?"

I would really like to see 100 free Friday night but I know I can't make it. So maybe Saturday night. But no breaststroke on Saturday so no Breeja.

Finally something worth watching on the Longhorn Network!

Wait - you actually get the LHN??

Not a chance. I live in New York and am pretty sure no one here even knows the LHN exists.

... I just hope that those 7 people in TX that do have it appreciate the high quality swim meet they will now have access to.

Breeja apparently scratched the 200 breast today. Anyone know why? No Allison Schmitt in the 400.

Cammille scratched the 400 free too. But Henry and McLaine swam good times in prelims.

@spicewood There is summer school going on, so I suspect some people may skip the Friday session for that reason.

Halco's reason is as good as any...

Was really surprised about Schmitt scratching the 400 too...They register for these meets WAY ahead of time, so they may be at a different point of training than they thought they would be. Just came from Colorado Springs, which I don't think was originally planned, so maybe that's why the change.

Great swim for Henry, some other nice swims from the Ags here and in Santa Clara tonight.

t.u. needs to get their act together! They haven't activated the results page!

Try refreshing or switching browsers. It's probably showing a cached version of the page.

Great swim for Feigen. The USA will need him and others to step up to fill that 4th relay spot. Phelps and Lochte are going to swim lights out. I think Adrian will get on the relay and then the fourth is up in the air.

Huge IM from Cammile, looking forward to the 2Fly today. Also big 2:00.37 from Ibanez in the 2free out in Santa Clara.

Feigen's 100 was impressive. I think Phelps is a bit slower than I thought he might be - but he just came down from altitude training. I know what the long term benefits are supposed to be but don't know how that affects racing right away.

Cammille and Henry have thrown down some very good times. Leverenz a bit faster in the 400 IM in Santa Clara.

So many of the tu swimmers were listed as "unattached". Cole Cragin, Ellen Lobb, Skylar Smith to name a few. Both Cole and Ellen swam for FLEET, and Skylar swam for FCST in High School. Pretty sure they were all swimming for Longhorn in the off season but I guess not.

Interesting.

Build It is a new username. (I was formerly a popular shotgun)

I don't think Unattached status is particularly meaningful. USA Swimming rules put you as UNAT for 120 days if you change teams. I think lots of college swimmers and post grads don't change their team registration until the last minute. It doesn't affect where they train. It only limits their ability to swim on relays.

I bet a lot of the non-Austin tu swimmers stayed in Austin this summer and changed their team affiliation away from their home teams after NCAAs.

I would be interested to know how many of tu's women are currently swimming for Eddie.
