Ags start 2nd set very slow by falling behind 0-7, cut it to 10-12, then get doomed by poor communication and execution. Trojans take it 25-14.

Frustrating set 3 with a lot of unforced errors and gave away some awful points.

The better team won today. A&M dooms themselves by committing extremely costly communication errors and gave away some very unnecessary points. Passing broke down after the first half and the veteran USC team took advantage. All in all, all errors are very fixable and they should compete very well in the SEC.

My first Aggie Volleyball match in a while, so I can't compare too much at this point, but I really like the way our girls didn't give up against a clearly - at this point - superior team. Looks like as our girls get more familiar with each other and just where to be, we can see improvement in coordination of play. One thing that bothers me is how many mis-hits we had off their serve, resulting in aces. Gotta get better at the all-important dig.

You also have to realize that this is only the second game of the season and it's against a USC team who won the Pac-12 and are coming off a Volleyball Final Four last year. Not only that, their returning All-American libero was just flat out phenomenal. Some of the digs she made were just unreal and came out of nowhere. The girls panicked too whenever things went bad.

But I agree with you completely. The one thing you can take away from this match is that they never gave up. Every team needs that kind of moxie. This team still some time to come together and seniors need to step up even more this year. Kelsey Black was extremely missed in this match and someone is going to have to bring the wood. Once you get that confident OH going, the passing will naturally become better, which will result in a much more fluid team
