Each August, Lonestarvolleyball.com announces its' All-Texas teams. Of the twelve athletes on the 1st team, four have now verbally committed to A&M.

2013 - Emily Hardesty - Trinity Christian-Addison (Instinct); 6'2" RS/MB/S (picked as the #81 Senior Ace in prepvolleyball.com's list just published)

2013 - Tori Arenas - Cy Woods (Houston Jrs.); 5'6" Libero

2014 - Stephanie Aiple - Round Rock (Austin Jrs., 6'1" Setter (played on USA National team for her age group this past summer)

2014 - Ashlie Reasor - San Antonio Reagan (Alamo); 6'1" OH

We have four of the twelve, and TU only has two!!!

I also found another verbal on the prepvolleyball.com list of athletes who just missed the top 100 Aces. Kaysie Shebeneck of Wisconson, 6'1" Setter, included in the group ranked #101 to #120.

WOWWW - none too shabby. Where are the rest ending up, out of state?

Out of the remaining six on the 1st team, one is undecided (class of 2014); the others are all going out of state to Ohio St., LSU, Arkansas, USC and Cal.

BTW, I found Tori Arenas' name on the Prepvolleyball.com Senior Aces list which includes their picks from #121 to 250 (that section is not ranked--they are alphabetical by position). Prepvolleyball.com is a national list, and all three of the 2013 verbals that I found so far are on that list at least somewhere.

Nice haul, considering that we're losing 5 of the 6 in the starting rotation. Glad we picked up a setter to learn under Sawatzky for a year.

To put things in perspective, those "two" for the 2013 class are ranked as the #6 (Chiaka Ogbogu - Coppel) and #10 (Chloe Collins - Cy Woods) recruits nationally by prepvolleyball.com.

Texas A&M will lose from the current line up...both middles, one outside, right side and libero.

I think Lowak (FR) will move into OH position next year and Sullivan (FR) into one of the middle positions of those currently on the roster.

Other positions will be battles in the spring and two a days in the fall dependent on when the girls enroll.

Arenas should be the libero next year with Kinley in the same role she is playing this year

I like the Aiple pickup a lot having seen her play at a few club tourneys. Picking up another setter from Wisconsin could show a shift in a possible 6-2 system or they may be balancing out recruiting a bit better after a couple of down years.

As for Texas, Elliot's recruiting class is always in the Top 5 and he recruits nationally so even though the players we are getting are great pick ups I dont think they are in the same level as t.u.

What I am very glad to see is the Corbelli's have done a great job this past year and next year it seems building greater depth within the program and after next year it seems our program wont be having to recruit for immediate help like we had to do for a few years after some illness/injury issues left big holes at certain positions for a year or two

Come out and support the team Sunday at 1:00 against Top 25 team in Kentucky
