I presume the women's team will be rested enough to get the NCAA cuts?
It will be fun to see how many pool records come down today. Good luck ladies.
It's a pretty big meet, especially for the ladies. Lots of teams. A little light on quality (other than the Aggies) though. Prelim/finals. Would love to see some fast times before the run up to conference.
Is the men's team going down? Used to be only a select few attended, if that...

Interesting that Breeja swam 200 IM. I don't remember her swimming that last year. Solid time. I wonder if Steve wants her to race more 200s so her 200 breast gets more in line with her 100.
It looks like we have a good group of sprinters this year. The 200 and 400 FR relays should be very competitive. The medley relays will be top 3 or better in the country. Good luck ladies.

Nine girls in the top 16 today. Looks a good bit better. But I'd feel better with more than one time better than 23.0. (I know we're improving here).
I thought it was obvious that my previous post was reflecting the womens team. I am sure we will have a couple more sub 23 times tonight. I know they are capable of putting four fast sprinters together. Some of our girls won't hit best times until the end of the year.
I don't think any of the girls will hit best times now. Some will swim darn fast (Camille, Breeja, that whole bunch in the 500 and 200IM today was fast). But they will all be faster in February and March.
I'm wondering if Camille goes under 1:55 in the 2fly and Breeja goes 58/2:08 in the 100/200.

Considering Dalton swam the 500 free and 200 IM I wouldn't put much stock in his 50 free time this morning.

Henry's 500 free time would have won NCAAs last season. Cammille's time would tie for 4th.

I was planning on just going Friday/Saturday. Decided to go Thursday too...man am I glad I did.
Almost as impressive as her 500 was the way Sarah Henry just took off after being dead-even with Paige Miller on the freestyle leg of the IM. She was there, then she was gone.

BTW - some impressive swims by a few of the Arkansas girls. Especially the freshman Mayfield (1:46 200 free). They have two very solid breaststrokers. 53.95 by their backstroker Lim.
