we've had a team for a long time. they finally got a local rink in 04 or 05. They have done pretty well the past few season. They made regionals for the first time 2 or 3 seasons ago I think, and they're on pace to challenge for a spot in regionals this year too.

Are you sure he didn't just get signed by the Houston aeros, cause none of their draft picks from the past two years are from texas. Regardless it's still pretty cool. A couple of Dallas guys got drafted in 2011

Was the Wild draft pick Anthony Hamburg? He is the only I can see that was from this area (Houston). Could not find anyone from College Station.

Anthony Hamburg got drafted three years ago. If he was from Houston, then he had to drive a long way to practices and games. He played for the Dallas Stars AAA team with a few of my friends.

Not sure where he lived.. I saw in a web search that he was born in Houston, that's all.
In any case, it seems that there is no one from College Station that was drafted by any major hockey team. Too bad because that would have been cool...
